Moon Temple Chinese Restaurant | Seattle, WA

Moon Temple—or “the Temple” as it’s known to Wallingford locals*—may not be the fanciest Chinese restaurant you’ve ever seen… okay, it’s probably not anywhere close to the fanciest Chinese restaurant you’ve ever seen… but it sure is a great place. The food is cheap and fresh, and the chefs are always willing to accommodate your requests. You won’t find anything on the menu you haven’t seen before, but if you’re grabbing a meal with some friends and you’re in the mood for Chinese, you could do much worse than the Temple.

Most importantly, if you’re in need of a place to pre-funk (or just a place to get drunk), you absolutely cannot miss the Temple’s adjoining bar. Sure, it has that seedy, dive-bar atmosphere, but the bartender pours the stiffest drinks this side of the Ave, and you can buy a round with the coins you dug out from between the couch cushions.

*OK, nobody actually calls it that other than me, but I think if I can just get enough people on board it just might happen.
